Southland Academy K4 students in Mrs. Laura Rooks' class enjoyed their STEAM activity. In keeping with the season, the students melted candy pumpkins. The children chose from four different liquids, alcohol, vinegar, oil and water, in which to drop their pumpkins. The students predicted which liquid would melt the candy pumpkins the fastest. The pumpkins in the water and the vinegar melted equally as fast. The students were excited about the science experiment and even a little surprised about the results.
