Quarantined books and travel restrictions on campus due to the adherence to the necessary COVID modifications have not stopped these the Lower School  Raiders from reading. For the first semester, elementary students have read 15 million words and are still going strong. All of the 1st-5th grade students are able to participate in the planned Christmas activities for each grade level so that they can celebrate their accomplishments. Angie Jones, Accelerated Reader Coordinator, planned BINGO, making playdough, and making Christmas ornaments for the students. Southland Academy is very proud of our students' love of reading.
