Experience

 

 

     Mrs. Jeter returned to  her alma mater to teach in the fall of 1976 where she taught high school speech and middle grades English. In 1980 she left to be married but returned in 1988 to Southland. In these following years she has taught freshman English, 9th honors English, middle grades English, 8th grade composition, 6th grade English enrichment, and 8th grade English enrichment. She is the current head of the English Department and is in her 36th year of service to her alma mater.  

 

 

 



Bio

Mrs. Jeter was a 1973 honor graduate of Southland Academy, and she then attended Georgia Southwestern State University to obtain a Bachelor of Arts degree in English in 1976. She then returned to Southland as an English and speech teacher while attending GSW for her Master's degree in middle grades education in 1978.  This is her 36th year at Southland.

Mrs. Jeter is a native of Byromville, Georgia, and still lives there today with her husband Bob. They have two children, both of whom are Southland Academy honor graduates: Page (Class of 2001), who is a publicist in Los Angeles, CA; and Robert (Class of 2003), who has graduated from medical school and is now completing his residency at Colquitt Regional Medical Center. The Jeters have one dog, Isaac.

Mrs. Jeter lists her hobbies as reading, playing the piano, cooking, and swimming.
