Geography is about the discovery of the world around us, because people everywhere make us of space and interact with their environment and with each other.  We use geography every day in finding our way to school , going on trips, or reading about how people live in other countries.  Today all of the world's people are linked.  Events far away influence us all, and we share the world's resources, products, and ideas.
