Education

I attended Georgia Southern University from 1983-84, then transferred to Georgia Southwestern State University where I obtained my Bachelor's, Master's and Specialist's degrees in Early Childhood Education.

Experience

I retired a year ago with 30 years in public school education.  I taught 12 years at Cherokee Elementary in Americus.  While there, I taught kindergarten,  fourth, second, and first grades.  I taught  18 years at Lee County Primary School in second grade. I worked with general education students as well as special needs students. I have served as grade chair several times, and served on the Leadership Team at my school.

This is my second year teaching 3rd grade at Southland.
