I am Joshua Hicks and I will have the honor of teaching your children for the 2020-2021 school year. I have a wife Kimberly Hicks, a son Clayton Thomas Hicks age 9, a daughter Emma Blair Hicks age 4. Both Clayton(4th) and Emma(4K) will be attending Southland this year.We are originally from Stockbridge, Georgia, but we have been fortunate enough to call Americus home for the past 13 years. I began my teaching career in 2008 at Webster County Elementary School. I am fully certified as well as highly qualified in Science and Social Studies, per the Georgia Board of Regents. I hope to enrich your child's education as both a teacher and a mentor. I received my Bachelor's Degree from Georgia Southwestern State University in Education. In addition to teaching I will be coaching football, and wrestling. During my twelve years of teaching I have learned one thing that holds true to most every classroom and that is it is all about building relationships.
