I am a graduate of Georgia Southwestern State University.  I have an associate degree in Office Administration. I have a

B.S. Degree in Business Education with a minor in Psychology.

I taught six years at Lee County High School and beginning my twelth year at Southland Academy.

I am a native of Sumter County.  I am married to Walter Davenport.  We have two daughters.  Angie is a graduate of the University of Georgia Veterinary School in Athens.  She is a in practice at Americus Veterinary Hospital.  She is married to Jesse Miller.   Kristi  received her masters degree in Speech Pathology in December 2013 from Valdosta State University.  She completed her internship at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, Georgia. She is employed as a speech pathologist with the Sumter County School System.  She is married to Jeff Clements of Americus. I am proud grandmother of a two year old little girl named Hartley.  I taught business education at lee County High School prior to joining the staff at Southland Academy.  I am beginning my nineth year at Southland.  My family attends the Concord Methodist Church. I am a member of the Americus Junior Servicse League in Americus.
