Varsity Cheerleaders selected for 2018-2019 are (Bottom – seniors) Kara Hubbard, Mary Catherine Dean, Anslee Barnes, Morgan Deriso; (Middle – juniors) Emma Griffin, Leslie Anne Farr, Sarah Murphy, Parker Reeves, Ellie Barnes, Maddy Copeland, Halley Kate Turner; (Top – sophomores and freshmen) Georgia Torbert (soph.), Jordan Brehm (soph.), Addison Starlin (soph.), Carson Clements (soph.), Lydia Anne Love (fresh.), and Averi Smith (fresh.).

Southland Academy Varsity Cheerleaders for the upcoming school year have been selected. The girls, coached by Mrs. Susan Welch, were chosen on their gymnastic, jumping, cheer, dance, and spirit skills. 

The squad includes 4 rising Seniors: Anslee Barnes, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Russ Barnes of Americus; Mary Catherine Dean, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Dean of Americus; Morgan Deriso, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don Deriso of Americus; and Kara Hubbard, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Hubbard of Richland. 

The squad includes 7 rising Juniors: Ellie Barnes, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Russ Barnes of Americus; Maddy Copeland, daughter of Ms. Melanie Copeland of Americus; Leslie Anne Farr, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Farr of Americus; Emma Griffin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jayson Griffin of Americus; Sarah Murphy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Murphy of Americus; Parker Reeves, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Reeves of Americus; and Halley Kate Turner, daughter of Ms. Jill Turner and Mr. Brian Turner, both of Americus.

The squad also includes 2 rising Freshmen: Lydia Anne Love, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jason Love of Americus; and Averi Smith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Deke Smith of Americus.
