The 2017-18 basketball season was great!  Both varsity teams had great success on the court.  We recently had the winter sports assembly where we recognize the accomplishments of the teams and the individual honors awarded to the players.  Coach Ty Kinslow and Coach Rundy Foster announced that there were five school records broken this season.

Senior, Siage Batten, set a new school record for the number of free throws in a season with 153.  This record was previously set in 1973-74 by Rickie Price with 129.

Senior, Alex Roach, set a new school record for the number of 3-point goals in a career with 169.  This record was previously set  by Nathan Greene (2003-07)  with 147.

Senior, Harrison Bell, tied a school record for the number of 3-point goals made in a game with 7.  He joins David McDuffie (1996), David Mixon (2002), and Justin Davis (2008).

Senior, Cassi Bass, set a new school record for the number of 3-point goals in a season with 51.  The record was previously set by LeAnna Wilder in 1991-92 with 47.

Senior, Kathleen Kinslow, set a new school record for the number of 3-point goals in a career with 114.  The record was previously set by Kayla Israel  (2002-07) with 100.

Congratulations to these seniors for their accomplishments.  They have set the bar even higher for future Raiders to try and break in the years to come.
