Southland Academy senior, Harrison Bell, signed a letter of intent to further his education and to play baseball at the University of South Carolina Beaufort next year.  USCB is an NAIA school that competes in the Sun Conference.  Head baseball coach Jeremy Christian and his assistant Zach Roberts are in their second season at USCB.  Prior to coming to USCB the two coaches helped lead Point University to the NAIA College World Series.

Harrison is very thankful for the opportunity he's been given.  He required surgery after last season to remove a small piece of bone from his elbow.  He has made a full recovery and is enjoying his senior season with the Raiders.  Harrison said, "I am thankful that my parents and coaches have helped me throughout the years.  I couldn't have made it this far without them always encouraging me and instilling in me the importance of having a good work ethic.  Mostly I am thankful that God has given me the ability to play and enjoy the game of baseball."

Coach Brady echoed Harrison's importance of a good work ethic.  "Harrison is a great kid.  He has worked very hard to get to this point.  We look forward to  seeing him go great things at the next level."  The Southland Academy family is proud of Harrison and wish him great success next year.
