The second grade teachers of the class of 2027, Ms. Stacey Whittle and Mrs. Lorrie Ledger, along with second grade students and parents, presented a Memory Bench to Mrs. Susan Welch and family in memory of Mr. Marshall Welch on March 17, 2017.

 The Memory Bench is placed outside Mrs. Welch’s classroom on campus. “Poppy” or “Big Marsh” was a huge part of the Southland Academy family! He was also very special to his grandson, Dan Williams, and Dan’s second grade classmates.

 The class of 2027, as well as the whole Raider family will miss “Poppy’s” or “Big Marsh’s” contagious smile, sense of humor, and his loving, caring, positive attitude towards life!
