March 17, 2017 was a lucky St. Patrick’s Day for everyone involved with the annual Miss SAR pageant. Under the direction of Faith Pinnell, the pageant’s theme resonated throughout the evening with the green pageant t-shirts, the lucky door prize winners, and especially for the fortunate audience members who were blessed to see the beautiful contestants. Each contestant brought poise, talent, and grace to the stage.

Congratulations to Miss Mary Nell Rush, 2017 Miss SAR; Miss Abby Dent, First Runner-Up, The Talent Award, and the Bett Womack Interview Award; Miss Addie Cook, Second Runner-Up; Miss Congeniality, Hannah Philpot; and The People’s Choice Award , Miss Lauren Barthell.

The Miss SAR contest is a scholarship pageant with all proceeds going toward the Thomas Greene and Madeline Wildes tuition scholarship funds.
