I have 47 years teaching experience, 46 years at Southland Academy teaching 7th Grade Georgia History.  I have been teaching U.S. History to 11th Graders for 39 years and A.P. United States History since 2003. 

This is my 46th year teaching at Southland Academy.  I was married to the late Marshall Welch for 41 years.  We have 2 children, both graduates of Southland Academy, Reggie (Class of 1990) and Lynsey (Class of 1998).  I have 2 grandchildren , Daniel Marshall Williams (age 10 years) and James Preston Williams (age 2 years) whose parents are Lynsey and Dan Williams of Montezuma, Georgia (both Southland graduates of 1998).  Dan is starting 5th Grade at Southland this school year.  My hobbies include teaching, coaching, walking, cheering, reading, dancing,traveling, enjoying all sports, and generally having fun!
