Southland Academy Garden Club

Southland Academy Garden Club is a service oriented club sponsored by the Town and Country Garden Club in Leslie, GA and a registered Youth Club of the Garden Club of Georgia.  Mrs. Benton is the school club sponsors.

We have 37 members this year. Each year we sponsor a contestant in the Miss SAR pageant, donate to a needy organization at Christmas (Crisis Pregnancy Center in 2009, Methodist Home for Youth in 2010 & 2012), make a donation to the school scholarship funds, recognize the teachers with cards, fund landscaping projects around the school and other worthwhile projects. We have a basketball concession stand to raise funds for these projects.

The newly elected officersfor 2012-2013 include: President- Mary Beth Minor, Vice- president - McKenna Ingram, Secreatary - Anne Marie Minor, and Treasurer - Cynthia Jones.
